Leonard Nimoy Boldly Goes into The Final Frontier at 83

What words can you say when honouring a genuine pop culture legend?

Terms like legend and icon are thrown around so much that they lose meaning. 

However there is not a person on this planet, or another, that could argue against Leonard Nimoy being classified as a legend and an icon in the truest sense of the words.

Most of us today have Star Trek to thank for our iPhones, Clouds and well most technology. 

It's no secret that the majority of the worlds top scientists, futurists and innovators have been influenced by Gene Roddenberry's  show.

Leonard Nimoy's character Spock  has inspired endless parodies, which signify just how iconic the character he brought the screen has become. 

Most notably was Alan Rickman's Dr. Lazarus from 1999's Galaxy Quest.

There's no denying the actors impact on all of our childhoods.

“In Spock, I finally found the best of both worlds: to be widely accepted in public approval and yet be able to continue to play the insulated alien through the Vulcan character.”

“Star Trek, which had its premier on NBC on Sept. 8, 1966, made Mr. Nimoy a star. News of his death broke a few hours ago.

"His wife, Susan Bay Nimoy, confirmed his death, saying the cause was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Mr. Nimoy announced last year that he had the disease, which he attributed to years of smoking, a habit he had given up three decades earlier. He had been hospitalized earlier in the week."

That's the official statement however I am thinking Will Ferrell had a hand in it???
